Not the case this year. We have had snow on the ground officially for six months. Last week we had 16 more inches.
It will be a while before my spring flowers begin to emerge.
Last year I was watching the swans and geese swimming on the pond.
The snow grader was needed to open up the town road where it was drifted across earlier this week.

We received 11 inches of snow on Saturday before Easter Sunday. After our inside Easter Egg hunt the kids headed outside to spend the afternoon in the snow!

Since there was too much snow outside and we knew the little ones would be stuck in the snow, we decided to hide all the eggs downstairs. It didn't take long for the buckets to begin to fill up!!
One of my brothers and his wife drove from Sioux Falls, SD and the brother and his wife came from Plymouth, MN to celebrate Easter and an early 92nd birthday party for my mom.
Hopefully Spring will be arriving soon!!
God Bless,
Linda

Spring is missing here in northern Illinois too. We keep getting snow but in small amounts - only a few inches at a time, not 10+"! Wow! Our next storm is predicted for tomorrow night. This is crazy weather. I'm so glad your brothers and wives were able to join you for Easter. ~Jeanne
